Universal Emergency Drivers for AC LED Tubes
Features
-
Universal Compatibility: With the Universal Emergency Driver, one driver works with various T5/T8 AC LED tubes regardless of brand or wattage, eliminating the need for specific drivers and factory adjustments.
-
Constant Brightness: Maintains constant light output during emergency even as the battery depletes.
- Consistent Battery Life: Constant output power provides more consistent battery life.
-
Safety Protections: Protects LED tubes from overcurrent, open-circuit and flickering. It also shuts down to safeguard the charger under overcurrent or short-circuit conditions.
-
2-Tube Support: Supports connecting up to 2 identical LED tubes for increased flexibility.
-
LED Status Indicators: Bi-color LED lights provide rich system status for easy troubleshooting.
-
Smart Charging: Fast and trickle charging work together to minimize charging time, maximize battery life, and reduce power consumption. Automatic revival restores drained batteries, and -ΔV termination prevents overcharging.
-
Broad Battery Compatibility: Supports NiCd and NiMH rechargeable batteries.

Automatic Lamp Matching for T5 & T8 AC LED Tubes
AC LED tubes always have compatibility issues with traditional emergency kits. The problems include:
- AC LED tubes cannot start or flickers
- Emergency kit output voltage can reach 380Vac which is a great safety issue
- AC LED tubes may draw too much or too little battery current, this results in insufficient discharge time or low brightness output.
- Maintenance is difficult as replacement lamps have to be identical.
- LED lamp and emergency kits have to be tested by suppliers before installation.
The HLI emergency lighting units are fully software controlled and can analyse lamp characteristics and adjust lamp driver in real time. Both T5 and T8 lamps are supported. And almost all AC LED tubes on the market are compatible. Just one model for all kind of T8 and T5 AC LED tubes.
Consistent Discharge Time
Traditional emergency drivers are difficult to maintain consistent discharge time for AC LED tubes because lamp loads can vary between models. Consequently, these drivers require factory adjustments for different lamps to achieve the rated discharge time.
For HLI series, it is able to analyse both lamp and battery parameters in order to automatically adjust lamp output. This ensures consistent battery discharge time, regardless of the specific AC LED tube model used in the system.
Constant Lamp Power Output
The system regulates lamp power and maintains consistent brightness output. This guarantees lamp remains bright throughout emergencies. As a result, battery life also remains consistent regardless of lamp type used.
The chart shows that after 2 hours of discharge, our product maintains a lux level of 98%, while other products drop to 55% of their initial level.
Safety Protections
The system is designed to ensure the unit will function properly in all kinds of fault conditions, including lamp faults, unstable lamp operation, and charger faults. These protections guarantee high reliability and a long lifespan of the uint.
Wiring Diagrams
HEI series are compatible with both single-ended and double-ended lamps.
Each unit can drive up to two lamps. If two lamps are connected, they must be of identical brands and models. The total combined output power of the lamps and discharge time will remain the same.
